Plan(T) aims to engage 25 local schools in Miami-Dade County. Through mangrove propagule installations and presentations on the issues of global climate change and sea-level rise, students will not only learn about the issues affecting their community, but will be able to become active participants as they help to grow Miami’s future salt-tolerant tree canopy.
As one of Plan(T)’s sponsors, the University of Miami is currently hosting the installation in the Lennar Medical Center and Richter Library, but it will soon expand to other areas of the university.
Miami Beach Senior High is our featured high school, with 2,500 mangroves installed throughout the school. We are our very grateful for their contribution and partnership with Cortada Projects.
